Breaking news:Minneapolis Mental Health Facility Murder: Suspect Charged in Deadly Attack
A 31-year-old man out on bail for attempted murder has been formally charged with second-degree murder and second-degree assault following a horrific Monday morning rampage at the Nancy Page Crisis Residence, a mental health facility in south Minneapolis.
The suspect allegedly attacked five people inside the Loring Park neighborhood facility using a variety of household objects, including a firewood log, a lamp post, a fork, and a fire extinguisher.
Chronology of the Attack
- 6:35 AM Monday: Panicked staff and residents call 911, reporting that Faulkner is actively attacking people and making threats to kill everyone.
- Police Arrival: Officers arrive to find suspect covered in blood and white fire extinguisher powder. As he is placed in handcuffs, he reportedly tells officers, "I think I killed someone."
- The Aftermath: Inside, police discover one male resident beaten to death in his room. Four other victims are hospitalized with injuries resulting from the attack.
