Minneapolis News: Minneapolis Police Appeal for Public’s Help in Locating Suspect Vehicle Linked to Uptown Mass Shooting

 MINNEAPOLIS — The Minneapolis Police Department (MPD) has released a public appeal and surveillance images of a vehicle linked to a mass shooting that took place outside an Uptown nightclub. Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the current location of the vehicle to contact law enforcement immediately.

The shooting, which occurred on July 19 outside the Reign Event Center on Hennepin Avenue, left nine people injured. Investigators believe tracking down this specific vehicle will provide a critical breakthrough in identifying the assailants, as no suspects have been arrested.
Suspect Vehicle Details Released by MPD
Detectives are searching for a black 2016 Infiniti Q50 Red Sport 400. The vehicle stands out due to several highly recognizable, aftermarket features.
MPD has provided the following description of the vehicle:

  • License Plate: Wisconsin blackout license plate ZAC-6116
  • Windows: Heavily tinted
  • Brakes: Distinctive red brake calipers
  • Features: Equipped with a sunroof and specialized custom wheels
Details of the Reign Nightclub Shooting
The gunfire erupted at approximately 12:30 a.m. in a crowded entertainment district. At the time, the Reign Event Center was hosting a heavily attended event featuring a prominent social media influencer and reality TV star.
Responding officers arrived at the scene within one minute and discovered a chaotic environment, forcing them to call for immediate backup to manage the large crowds and treat the wounded. A total of seven men and two women, aged between 18 and 27, suffered injuries during the shootout. While two victims sustained life-threatening injuries, medical officials expect all nine individuals to survive.
Following the incident, local officials condemned the shootout as a brazen, cowardly act of senseless violence that put hundreds of innocent bystanders at extreme risk.
